Ingredients You’ll Need
When I need a quick, delicious, and energy-packed snack, I always turn to this recipe. Here are the essential ingredients:
Dates (my favorite are Medjool for their soft texture and natural sweetness).
Peanut butter (choose organic, unsweetened option for a healthier touch).
Walnuts (or nuts of choice)
Chocolate dip (I recommend mixing organic cacao powder with organic pure coconut oil to make the chocolate).

How I Make It
It’s so simple that you don’t need complicated steps. Open the dates, remove the pit, and fill one side with peanut butter and the other side with half walnut or nuts of your choice. Then, close them and dip them into chocolate. Instead of using regular chocolate, I mix organic cacao powder with organic pure coconut oil to make the chocolate dip. Once they’re ready, I put them in the freezer for a few minutes so the cacao hardens. This easy process transforms basic ingredients into an irresistible treat. I love to eat these before going to the gym and as a healthy treat. My sons love to eat them as well. The fact is that this healthy treat tastes like a sneaker candy bar.

The Perfect Snack for My Active Days
This combination not only satisfies my sweet cravings but also gives me the energy I need to keep up with my daily routine. Dates provide a natural source of carbohydrates to recharge my energy, peanut butter adds protein and healthy fats, and cacao contributes antioxidants and a rich, intense flavor. It’s perfect as a pre- or post-workout snack or even as a healthy dessert.
A Moment to Reconnect with Myself
When I prepare this snack, it feels like a little moment just for me—a pause in the day to enjoy something special. Sometimes, I pair them with a warm cup of coffee or tea, or I save them for those moments when I need a quick energy boost. For me, cooking with simple, real ingredients is a way to take care of myself without overcomplicating things.
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do.
With love,
Vilma Fit
